Elementary and Junior High UIL Results
Each year, our UIL district (and all UIL districts throughout the state) hold academic contests in a variety of academic areas for students to compete against other students from their school district and several other schools that are assigned to their UIL district.
For our UIL district, the academic elementary contest is considered to be grades 2-6 and our academic JH contest is considered to be grades 7-8.
All of our students in grades 2-8 are made aware of these contests well in advance and encouraged to practice in these events and possibly make the competitive team for any or several of these academic contests.
Yesterday, our district held our elementary and JH academic contests for this school year.
Our Elementary (grades 2-6) won that competition and are the elementary academic UIL district champions for 2015. Our elementary team scored 640 points and second place in the competition was 543 points. Great job students who competed and teachers who coached them to prepare these students for these contests. I am proud of all of our elementary and JH UIL academic participants!
