What's the News?

We are half way through the 4th six weeks!  It is exciting to see our new school taking form right before our eyes.  We are getting so excited to see walls go up!

We have lots going on in February.  On February 1st, the 1st – 3rd grade GT students will be going to Region 9 to participate in “Project Polaris,” where they will build a space station with other students from Region 9.

Thursday February 2nd, our all A honor roll students for the entire first semester in grades 2-5 will be going to Cotton’s to be honored at the Lions’ Club luncheon.  Congratulations for having all A’s for the first semester!

Our Box Top competition will come to an end on Friday, February 3rd and the winning class will receive a pizza party.  Keep clipping one more week.  I hear competition is getting intense!

Tuesday, February 7th is our Spelling Bee for students in grades 2-8.  The Spelling Bee will be held at Jacksboro Elementary School.  We know our students will represent Bryson well in the area competition.  Go Cowboys and Cowgirls!!

Tuesday, February 14th is Valentine’s Day.  Class parties will be at the end of the day.  Look for a flyer from the PTO.  They are selling roses and carnations for students to send to one another or for you to send to your student.  Also be on the lookout for information from Mrs. Faulk about Candy Grams.

Monday, February 20th is President’s Day and a student holiday, enjoy the three day weekend!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Ferrell
