Bryson Regional UIL
Bryson High School had nine students participate in the Regional UIL competition Saturday April 25, 2015. In order to qualify for this competition, they had to compete against other students in our district and place in the top three or four students, depending on the event. Bryson was represented at the regional competition in the following events: Avery Robinson and Riley Smith- Spelling and Vocabulary, Emily Chambers-Poetry, Laynee Pierce- Social Studies, Jacob Jonas-Number Sense and Science, Emily Berend-Headline Writing and Editorial Writing, Clayton Dennis-Current Events and Issues, Breanna Denton-Computer Applications, and Brooklyn Stout-Ready Writing. The top six in each competition at the regional level receive recognition and the top two advance to the state competition. The Regional awards are as follows: Breanna Denton- 6th place in Computer Applications, Emily Berend- 5th place in Editorial Writing and 4th place in Headline Writing, and Jacob Jonas- 1st place in overall Science and in Chemistry section of the Science event. Jacob Jonas will be representing Bryson High School at the State Competition May 26th, 2015.
