Phi Delta Kappa International - Scholarship for those interested in the teaching field. Deadline: January 31, 3001

Sam Houston State Univesity - Freshman Leadership Program offers a scholarship to students that have test scores of 1010SAT or 21 ACT, been accepted for admission, and demonstrates leadership qualities on campus. Deadline: March 1, 2001

Educational Communications Scholarship Foundation - $1,000 scholarship based on following criteria: Ability (GPA & Aptitude Test Scores). Deadline: May 15, 2001

Micron Science and Technology Scholar Program - Applicants to this program must have SAT of 1350 or ACT of 30, unweighted grade point average of 3.5, plan to major in Engineering and have demonstrated leadership in schoo, work, extracurricular activities.

Wal*Mart - 2001 Sam Walton Community Scholarship Program - $1,000 scholarship to qualifying senior having financial need, exhibit academic and scholastic achievements, and be active in extra-curricular activities and community involvement.

There must be at least 5 applications submitted from our school in order to participate.

Commitment to Agriculture Scholarship Program - Applicants must have a family actively engaged in production agriculture. Not be employed by American Farm Bureau Federation, have average to above-average academic record if not in top 10% then ACT of 18 or SAT of 850, and pursue any field related to agriculture. Deadline is February 15, 2001.

North Texas Tech Prep/School-To-Work Consortium - Statewide scholarship. Apply locally and if selected then be entered in the state competition. Must be a Tech Prep student and attend a community college and enroll in same Tech Prep program took in high school. Sate level application regulates that you must have participated in a workbased activity such as job shadowing. Must be received in Tech Prep office by February 16, 2001.

Texas Christian University - Texas Christian University Athletic Video Department offers a scholarship to cover 6 semester hours at the university (approximately $2,300/semester) to videotaping practicies and games for various sports, good for both fall and spring and renewable every year until student graduates. Will receive practice and game gear, post-season awards and opportunity to travel with squad.

 

 

 

 

 

Welch Summer Scholar Program - An intensive summer experience students with one or more years of chemistry. Scholarship covers major cost, room and board from

June 10 - July 14, 2001. If you would like to interact with working chemists, university faculty and students, develop skills in chemistry research, computer skills, present your work to colleagues then you may be interested. Fort Worth Scottish Rite Foundation, Inc. - Merit based scholarship of $1,000 based on SAT or ACT to determine academic merit, high school transcripts to determine class ranking and GPA, Academic references, personal recommendations. Deadline: march 15, 2001. The number of scholarships depends upon the earnings of the Trust Fund and because we are within the Fort Worth Scottish Rite membership area several school districts within our area could receive scholarship. Tarleton State Univesity -

Hosting Junior/Senior Visitation Day on February 20, 21, 22 at 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. with information sessions regarding admissions, student activities, housing, a campus tour and lunch will be provided.
